Oh god it looked bad! Its the second thing in a row that i've knitted that's gone wrong. I don't suppose it helps when i'm following a pattern that was made in the 70s! I was going for the retro look. I think i'll stick to something a wee bit more modern next time.
I think my next project is going to be a simple lace scarf .... ( I know Nat, i think something must be wrong with me ... i'm stepping out of my saftey zone!) I'd like to wear it at work to keep my shoulders and neck nice and warm. Fingers crossed it works out ok, i've never done lace before! ;)

Too bad about the jacket - maybe you'll find a different pattern for all that yarn that works better. I have been horrible and haven't returned your email - did you find a pattern for the lace yet? I have a little booklet that came with the last IK with cute lace scarf patterns - I wonder if we can find one on the internet. :) You'll love knitting lace, it's a lot of fun.
Yay! For lace, it's addictive,you'll never want to knit anything else again.
Such a shame about the jacket but I'm sure your next project will go like a dream. Do you have a pattern in mind?
