First a little something for my ma. She wants little string baskets for a number of things, so here's the first one. Here my lovely class of orange juice is modelling it nicely :)

And for my next trick I would like to show you how you attempt knitting something from from the awesome "Fitted Knits".

This is suppose to be finished for December 1st for a friends wedding at the beautiful Kenilworth Castle. I will update you with my progress soon ... (or as soon as I can at least ;)

Other news ... I took the bull by the horns and produced this little chunky cardi, using all my own imagination (no pattern required!)


Lots of little projects on the go ... 2 Hats, 1 iPod cover, 1 Scarf and 1 Wrap which will all be Christmas presents. Watch this space people!!!

Hey friends ... A few life changing things have happened in the last month or so which made me buy this - My new 'old' car.

A 1979 Mini 1000. So the only logical thing to do next is to knit it something ... It's own blanket!! The flash made it look a little too green, but trust me it compliments it nicely ;)

The next thing to knit was many many booties for the many babies that are due in November. My best friends new baby, DB's Cousins new baby and my other friends new bride, new baby ... so i haven't finished all of them but I'm nearly there.

Tragically my family have lost someone recently and i haven't felt like writing anything, i have been knitting still as i have found it to be a great comfort, I'm knitting everything from booties for my friends new baby, to chunky winter cardigans. Pictures soon :)

I have managed to keep reading everyone's blogs, which has also kept me occupied. I really think that there's such a wealth of talented people out there, this also came to light as my DB's mother dragged me down to Ally Pally for the Kitting and Stitching show on Sunday. I loved practically everything, but in the end all i came away with was 2 sets of bamboo needles, a 500g ball of Acrylic wool and 2 metres of fabric to make skirts from.

I wish i had some pictures to show you, but i can't get my damn bluetooth to work on my phone (even an IT Technician can get it wrong sometime!!)

I've been knitting alot recently, I've got three projects on the go ... not something i normally do ( i try to keep focused on one thing at a time!) Anyway with my nan's birthday coming soon i dropped what i was previously knitting and started work on a lovely Autumn scarf for her.

You can't tell by the awful light and the crappy camera on my shitty mobile!! Sorry, I'm not bitter ;) BUT i knitted it in a hand spun dark heather coloured yarn, which should go nicely with my nan's lovely blonde hair. Finger's crossed she likes it!

I've been Crafting!

Whilst in California last November, i bought some scraps of material that i liked ... but never had any inspiration on what to do with them, until now. First we have a large purse big enough for notes, change, keys and cards.

Secondly this one will hold cards and change.

Lastly a wee little broach, not my colours but i think it's rather nice.

I believe I'll either be putting them on ebay or I'm thinking of Etsy ... not sure if i can being English (if you know otherwise please let me know!)
Also if anyone has any feedback on my creations it would be great to hear it. I know it's all very start off rough & ready stuff.

And progress .... of sorts :)

I ran out of wool for my 15 mm needles, boy your hands, wrists and arms don't half hurt when your done knitting a few rounds on those babies!!

And the next item of clothing i have to show you is the hip-length jumper i've been working on, from a lovely little Sirdar Click pattern called '8954' beautiful name isn't it!! ;)

oooohhhh and i managed to get a copy of Interweave ..... oh my, now i know what every lovely person in blog land has been raving on about. It's great, I've got the wool and needles ready soon as i finished these lovely projects :)

As I do like a bargain ... my next project consists of Sirdar Bigga Wool x 6 balls (all for the bargin price of 59p per 100g ball!!!) and a pair of 15 mm needles.... I've done 12 rows and my hands are killing me!!! ;)

ohhh plus I got new glasses... you like?

Plus i have finished the back and the front of a lovely hip length 2-ply jumper, photos soon :)

Since we have come back form Russia (almost 4 weeks now) it has hit me more and more everyday how much I enjoyed our time there and the hospitality of all the people we met (thank you to my DB's mum and dad for letting us tag along with their experience.)

And I'm done ..... few, feels good to have finally finished this cardigan. It did push me to do something different (which is always good) but it was more of a chore than a joy!

Also for the first time in a while i don't know what I'm going to follow this with, it would be nice to maybe knit something for someone else for a change, but well see.


Pattern: 'Faye' by Kim Hargreeves
Wool: 100% Acrylic, around 350g.

Just a quick one to show the other shrug I made during the end of June, beginning of July. The pattern is again from Fitted Knits and I used a cheap acrylic yarn, 100g costing £1.45. I love cheap wool!!

My first post in nearly two months!!

Well ... I've been busy. My co-worker had a bad car accident and broke both her wrists so things have been hectic ... PLUS I've been in Russia!

Before I left i didn't mange to get a lot of knitting done, but i did complete another shrug from fitted knits, it's such a great pattern to use. I'll try and get some photos up soon of that. And finally I have nearly finished 'faye' by Kim Hargreaves, just one more sleeve to go!!! Hope you are all well, especially you Kendra (hope you've got your feet up!) See ya'll soon.

Hey Y'all! So knitting is going great... half-term relaxing is another thing!! Never mind.

So I'm knitting 'Faye' by Kim Hargreaves from the Rowan Vintage Knits Magazine, from a while back. I found a copy of it in my local library to which i said out loud 'Bonus'!

I don't know what pattern it is or what it's called, but I'm following it and i like it! It took a few goes to begin with but hopefully you'll be able to see the details once it's all done, especially in the bright Red which I gotta tell ya, I'm a BIG fan of and I'm surprised that i haven't already knitted a ton of things with it ... anyway I digress.

So me and DB went up to the Yorkshire Sculpture park (it should have taken a little over 2 hours, it ended up taking something like over 3! I hate traffic on the M1!) anyway we went to check out the Andy Goldsworthy exhibition, and it was pretty great. Unfortunately you weren't allowed to take photos :( But then again the sweat lodge piece was soooo good I think I'll be remembering it in the old brain box for years to come.

Introducing .... not so 2 Tone Shrug!


2 Tone Shrug (except i did it with just the one and I think it looks just as good! Just a little over 100g's at £1.15 a ball!! How awesome am I?) from Fitted Knits, it really has been a revolution in my knitting I rate that book big time highly ... i know this is not real English, but sometimes things are that good that real English just can't explain baby!!

A more in depth beautiful photo will come soon, but as it's reasonably hot out, I'm wearing this baby to work tomorrow :)

I would love to be able to prattle on about what I've been crafting and knitting, but recently I've come back from work and thought ... "F**k it, I'm eating and then I'm going to bed!" (Please excuse my frankness!)

I've been reading a lot of other peoples blogs and i take my hat off to you :) Your all soo busy, interesting and ful of ideas and energy .... I on the other hand am lacking in most of the above ;)

It's nearly finished! I've had a few Ups and Downs with this little madam! Not too many problems, and it's all my fault i didn't check my tension so it all ended up tooooo small, so i tried and tried again and this is just a ruff picture of it nearly being ready. Show and tell very soon :)
